Foods for skin health:

– Vitamin A: is a vitamin that helps with eyesight, boosting immune function, and great skin health (sweet potatoes, carrots, dark leafy greens, butternut squash, lettuce, dried apricots, cantaloupe).

Foods for nail health:

– Calcium: is a mineral that is important for our bones and teeth. Our heart and blood vessels also need calcium to work (cheese, yogurt, milk, sardines, dark leafy greens, orange juice, soybeans, grains and breads).

Don’t just eat it, put it on your skin!

Bananas: mix bananas with honey and milk to make a mask that can work as a stress-soothing treatment. Mash up one banana with 1 tablespoon of honey and 1/8 cup of milk to form a paste. Put on it on the face and neck and leave it to set for at least 15 minutes before washing off.

Egg whites: mix one egg white with fresh aloe vera juice and a teaspoon of apple juice. Leave for 20 minutes, and then wash off. This mask will open up pores and leave skin refreshed and glowing.

Oatmeal: if your skin is irritated or very dry, oatmeal can serve as a skin soothing agent. Mix ¼ cup oatmeal with 6 oz. of plain yogurt and 1 teaspoon of honey to form a paste. Massage onto skin and leave it for at least 30 minutes before washing it off.
